Esra's Story
Hey, I'm Esra!

CocoaKitties accepted me into their program from a community partner. I was caught when I was little in their Trap-Neuter-Return program, but I was so dang cute that someone decided to keep me. Things happened, though, and through no fault of my own I ended up needing a new family. When my old owner reached back out to the TNR folks, they talked with CocoaKitties who brought me into their family.

My foster mom says that I'm 'sweet and spicy'. I love attention and will rub on you, give kisses, and hop around for affection but sometimes it just feels too good. Foster Mom says that it means I get overstimulated sometimes. I get excited, and it makes me want to play! My ears go back and I want to wrestle to burn some of the energy off. I don't mean to play rough, but sometimes I get so in to it that I growl which can spook people. I'm not a bad kitty, honest! Just give me some time to cool off when I get too excited and I'll be right back at your side for love.

I'm still so young and I just want to find my actual forever family to play with and love on. Do you think that it may be with you? If so, please let CocoaKitties know so we can set up a meet and greet! I'm excited to meet you!

To adopt me please fill out the online application at: https://cocoakitties.org/adoption-application Cocoa Kitties rescues cats off the streets of Hershey and surrounding towns. We are a 501(c)(3) organization that is funded 100% by donations. We do not operate a shelter but keep our kitties in foster homes. We rely on foster families who open their homes to care for the kitties we rescue. We ask that you complete an application before we send you into the homes of our volunteers. Also please keep in mind that applications are always being processed so we cannot guarantee the availability of a kitty until your application is approved. We operate on a first approved basis. We work very hard to process applications in a timely manner but rely on your references, veterinarian, and landlord to respond so please let them know we will be contacting them. ~You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt. ~Your current pets need to be up to date on vaccinations and preventatives and they need to be altered. ~ If you are adopting a kitten and have no other pets at home please consider adopting two. Kittens thrive in pairs. Kittens: $125 Cats: $100 Before they go home our kitties are: · Vaccinated age appropriately (Rabies and FVRCP) · Treated for internal and external parasites* · Tested for FELV/FIV · Microchipped · Spayed/Neutered (for kittens that is around 12 weeks of age) · Started on flea prevention *Parasites are common in kittens and cats and may take time to treat completely. We cannot guarantee that your cat or kitten will be completely worm/parasite free at adoption. We do not declaw our kitties and do not allow adopters to declaw them. We require our kitties to live indoor lives. Lifetime Commitment: Please remember a kitty requires a 100% committed family for the kitty's entire lifetime which is some cases can be more than 20 years. Talk this through completely with your family and make sure everyone is onboard before completing this application. cocoakitties.org
