Ernie is a two year old gentleman. He is friendly and relaxed around people. He enjoys sleeping in his chair, loves sitting on your lap, getting his neck scratched, using his scratching post and a bit of cat nip. He doesn’t like loud noises like lawn mowers and leaf blowers. Ernie is very affectionate and would do well in a home that just wants a cat to love.<br/><br/>Ernie is sweet, easygoing and probably would do well with a single person or couple. He is a picky eater but that’s his only flaw. He loves to recline on a lap and get his head rubbed. <br/><br/>He is fostered with another cat.

The Isle of Wight County Humane Society does in-person interviews to be approved as a home. There is no paper application to fill out before an adoption event. We reserve the right to approve or deny a prospective adopter based on what we determine is in the pet's best interest. We are an all volunteer foster based rescue and we do not operate a physical shelter or have business hours.. Our adoption events are the best way to meet our pets and be interviewed.
