Ernie's Story

Ernie

Meet Ernie... one half of a friendship that feels straight out of Sesame Street. Just like the iconic Bert and Ernie we all know and love, this sweet 2 year old boy and his best friend Bert are a package deal filled with personality, companionship, and years of friendship.

After being surrendered by his former owner, Ernie is ready to leave the past behind and step into a bright new future....but there's one thing on his wishlist: a family willing to open their hearts to both him and Bert, so these lifelong buddies can continue sharing naps, adventures, and all of life's little moments together.

Ernie is at that perfect age....young, playful, and full of personality, with plenty of love still to give. He is around 2 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Bert may be his best friend... but maybe you could be his forever family.

Heal Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in any of our adoptable animals, please call or email the shelter at 724-925-2555 or info@healanimalrescue.org to schedule a time for a meet and greet with the animal of which you are interested. You will also need to fill out an adoption application. Our shelter staff and adoption counselors will review your information to see if you are a good match for the pet you have selected. Please allow yourself about an hour to have the proper time to spend with an adoption counselor to discuss the responsibility of owning your specific pet and making a lifetime commitment. Please remember our number one goal and priority is finding FOREVER homes for the dogs and cats in our care and matching the right pet with the right home environment. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption. Some pets receive multiple applications and we do our best to sort through to find the absolute best match possible.
