Ernie 3449's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mild Cerebellar Hypoplasia (Wobbly Cat Syndrome), deaf, and a polyp in right earI am a super loving and very handsome orange tabby although I am a bit shaky because I have mild "wobbly cat syndrome"! You really see it when I eat. I look like I haven't eaten in forever. I call it a sincere appreciation for wonderful cuisine. My roommate Gretta is fine with my quirks but other cats are sometimes leery. I love to be held but my body doesn’t relax so I look and feel stiff but I really do love the affection and the petting. I don't jump easily and am hesitant to do it. Stairs are challenging but given time, I can manage them.

I love toys. Just about any toy, office supply, hair ornament, you name it! I love to chase a laser light too. I can play with a toy for hours on end! Gretta and I love to chase a laser beam robot around the room. We never tire of it.

I mentioned that I love food. Well I'm the most flexible eater in this foster home and there are 3 dozen cats. That shows you that I'm the easiest guy to feed.

Gretta and I are not bonded but we do share our habitat and get along extremely well. She was super shy before she met me and now she allows humans to pet her. I'm a good influence. We wrestle and chase each other as well as snuggle sometimes.

I do have a lot of energy and I can be a little loud due to my deafness. It's boundless enthusiasm!

I sleep very soundly because I can't hear all the commotion around me.

I'm waiting to be scheduled for surgery to remove the polyp from my ear. It was removed via traction last year but it came back. My CH did get milder after the polyp was removed and also as I've aged!

I have gone to adoption events and will likely do so occasionally in the future but you can always schedule an appointment to meet me in my foster home. You will see me at my finest.
