Erma - Bonded w/Max's Story

Max and Erma are bonded almost 14 year old (born 6/28/2012), front declawed, litter mates. They must be adopted together as they have lived together their entire lives and they cuddle and play with one another. Just like all Reuben’s Room cats, they must be indoor only.

Max is the larger of the two cats and is mostly grey with a white beard (about 15 pounds). Erma is a little bit lighter coloring, almost dilute torti-like, and she is smaller than her brother (about 12 pounds). They both have beautiful eyes. They are quiet cats and are mostly independent due to their current living situation but they do enjoy being petted. Max particularly likes having you rub under his chin.

They have lived with other cats previously but it’s been quite a few years ago so we are not certain how they will do with another cat. We do not know how they would be with children or with a dog. Ideally a home with only adults and older children is likely the best fit for them. They will go to their new home with cat condos that are familiar to them as well as other supplies for a good start. They will most likely be quite timid when they go to a new home so an adopter needs to be patient with them and understand that it will take time for them to be comfortable.

Their current family is rehoming them due to the inability to spend much time with them and they want them to have a more fulfilling life with more human interaction. Max and Erma would love to spend their retirement years in your loving, quiet home.
