Eric's Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step.

Meet Eric, a sweet baby tabby who is still finding his confidence but is already showing what a wonderful little companion he can be. Eric is the more outgoing half of his adorable duo and is beginning to seek out his people. Sit down on the floor, and you may find Eric walking right over to investigate—or even playing with your feet! He also enjoys being picked up and held, making him a wonderful little guy with plenty of potential to become an affectionate companion.

His new family should be committed to continuing his socialization and giving him the patience and encouragement he needs to keep building confidence. He is young and has so much potential, but he will need a family willing to let him progress at his own pace.

Since Eric is young and doesn’t know life without cats, we are requiring that he goes to a home with at least one other young, friendly cat to help show him the ropes and play with.

Because he can be shy at first, he would do best without young children, although respectful older children may be just fine. Dogs are an unknown, but he may do okay with a small dog or a very calm, gentle dog who will respect his space.

All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped.
The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
