She came to us when she was not the right fit for her previous home, and shes been patiently waiting since May 29th, 2026 for a fresh start.<br/><br/><br/>Emmy is a very sweet and beautiful young cat with all the energy and curiosity you would expect from a cat her age. She enjoys staying active and exploring the world around her. Emmy would prefer a home without young children and may appreciate a slow introduction to any resident cats. With the right home and plenty of opportunities for play and enrichment, Emmy is sure to make a wonderful companion.<br/><br/><br/>Emmy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Capital Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy
The purpose of our adoption criteria is to ensure a consistent, fair process and to provide every potential adopter with an equal opportunity to welcome a new pet into their home. All animals are adopted to individuals who agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the adoption contract. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
