Emmy Female black/white DSH Estimated DOB: 08/2024 Backstory: Emmy was found in early April when she wandered onto someone's porch. Thankfully, she picked the right house because her finder knew exactly what to do and brought her inside. They searched for an owner and posted her on multiple sites without any luck. She was not spayed or microchipped and did not have a collar, so she was likely a stray cat. She was brought into the rescue where she received all of her needed medical care and has been loving inside life ever since. Location: She is currently in foster Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. ~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
