ELLIS AKA “POPPA”

Meet Ellis, affectionately known as Poppa—a 12-years-young brown tabby who is ready to be someone’s special companion. Poppa came to the shelter after his owner was evicted and could no longer care for him. Through it all, Poppa has remained an absolute sweetheart. He has an A+ personality and has never met a human he didn’t love! He is incredibly affectionate and loving, and he has no problem letting you know when he’d like some attention. If you’re looking for a cat who will happily soak up your love and companionship, Poppa is your guy. Poppa recently had a senior wellness check, and his bloodwork was normal. He is missing some teeth, but that certainly doesn’t slow him down when it comes to mealtime—he happily gobbles up his canned food! Poppa also arrived with a cloudy right eye. The veterinarian determined that no treatment is needed, although because of his decreased vision, Poppa should be kept indoors. What Poppa wants most is simple: a loving person to call his own, plenty of attention, and lots of affection. At 12, he has so much love left to give and would make a wonderful, devoted companion who will
adore you right back.

Please use ELLIS’s intake number (A061249) when making inquiries at the shelter.

All cats available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations will be microchipped.
