Ellie's Story

Gentle, sweet, and oh so magestic, Ellie is ready to meet her forever people! Ellie originally came into care after being surrendered by a previous owner to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Ellie is such a darling, her favorite sport is cuddling and she is always happy for some pets and loves. She spends some time playing, especially with her wiggle worm toy, catnip banana, and ball tower. However, she also enjoys her daily pets and nap time near the radiator. Ellie gets so excited for breakfast that she dances on her hind legs when she sees you carrying her dish :) She is super food motivated and also loves treats!<br/><br/>In her foster home, Ellie has done great with other resident adult cats. She takes a minute to get to know them, but is happy to have the companionship. She would do well in a home that was multi cat or she would be very successful as a solo pet as well. She would most enjoy a predictable household, she has not yet met dogs or small children. Forever Fortunate Felines's Adoption Policy
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster-based, we really understand our cat's personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:  https://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier that opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to accept PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
