Meet Ellie
This gentle and beautiful kitty is Ellie.
Ellie is a very friendly and very sweet cat of about 2 years of age. Ellie has a sister who she loves and is bonded to, named Ellie. Ellie is very gentle and likes to take her time doing things, including eating and approaching you. Ellie loves to play and snuggle and she loves petting of her head and body. Though she's not crazy about being held all the time, she does like human attention and will often seek it. Ellie loves to play with toys and loves to play and snuggle with her sister. We would love to see nothing more than Ellie be adopted into a home with her sister so that we can keep these bonded girls together. They went through a lot together as kittens and deserve the company of one another.
Ellie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
Ellie's Backstory:
In the Bronx on a summer morning a construction worker was about to take a break and was walking through a wooded path under a bridge. He began to hear tiny little meows and eventually came across a small sealed box. Upon opening the box he found 4 little kittens who were about 1 week old. Horrified at his discovery he ran to his job site asking for help and eventually contacted us. The kittens were hungry and scared from their ordeal but were in good overall health.
What kind of sick monster takes 4 tiny little kittens, places them in a box, seals the box, and then throws it over an underpass to allow them to die a horrible and terrible death? Though the people who did this to them was never found, the 4 little kittens, including Ellie all grew up to be loving and perfect little cats. Ellie's two brothers found loving homes rather quickly. Ginger and Ellie haven't had as much luck because since they were little they became bonded. Finding homes for bonded pairs is a little more difficult and takes longer. We are hoping that now is their time to shine and would love to see Ginger and Ellie finally get their deserved happily ever after.
