Ellen's Story

Meet Ellen! Ellen came to CCHS with friends and litter mates after they were born on a horse farm and there were way too many kitties to keep. The family brought them inside and raised them in their sunroom with lots of love and affection. They were handled by people, including children, from little on. As a result they are the most loving and wonderful kitties. It was super hard for the family to bring them to CCHS, but they knew it was for the best for them to find new homes. Ellen is now 5 months old (estimated DOB 10/8/25) and weighs 5.4#. She is very pretty with her short-haired Tortoiseshell coat. She even has a cute little taillight at the tip of her tail. She's very personable too. If you're looking for a wonderful new kitty (or two!), please consider Ellen and apply to adopt her today!

Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can click on "More About Us" to the right and then click on "Adoption Application" button which will take you to our website where you can actually apply. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $50. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All cats and kittens have been vaccinated for Distemper, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will also be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for FeLV/FIV. Cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home.
