Elara's Story

Elara was rescued from a home with many, many other kitties and has since been spayed, given her vaccines, and more. She's a lovely girl that takes a little time to warm up to new places and people. Once she's comfortable with you, she does enjoy attention and being petted, but isn't huge on being held and may never be a "lap cat."

While Elara has warmed up more to people since coming to the shelter, she really lights up when she's in a room with other cats. She would be happiest having feline friends in her new home, or would even love to go home with one of her other housemates that are still here!
A good-natured dog could be okay with a proper introduction, but young children may be too much for her.

Estimated to be a young adult. She does have one eye that looks a little different than the other, but it doesn't bother her one bit and is likely a result of illness as a kitten.

(All cats we adopt out are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for fleas, dewormed, and microchipped)

Our adoption application and policies can be found here:

www.secondchancear.org/adopt-1
