Eggy's Story

Hi, my name is Eggy. I'm 5 years old and I came to the shelter with my brother, Oatmeal, on 4/8/26. We weren’t in the greatest condition and were covered head to toe in fleas. We were nervous when we first came as we didn’t really understand what was happening. I quickly learned that not every human is scary and I actually love attention. I do great with other cats but haven’t lived with any dogs. I'm a distinguished gentleman who would gladly take over as head of the household and watch over everybody as I love to loaf on high surfaces and keep watch. It would be ideal if Oatmeal and I could go to a home together, but we will be okay without each other if need be<br/><br/><br/>Would you like to stop by and visit with me? At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
