Eggplant's Story
Meet Eggplant!

If every neighborhood has that guy... Eggplant was him.

For years, he was the staple tomcat of Milwaukee's "Purple" colony—the big, handsome tabby everyone knew. We're pretty sure he's also the father of at least two of the litters of kittens we currently have available for adoption. Thankfully, those days are behind him now that he's been neutered!

Eggplant first came to us through our TNR program and was returned to the person who cared for him outdoors. Tragically, not long after he went home, he suffered a severe leg injury that couldn't be saved. The kindest option was to amputate.

If you're wondering whether having three legs slows him down... not even a little.
Eggplant runs, jumps, climbs, and plays like nothing ever happened. Nobody remembered to tell him he's supposed to have four legs.

Now safe in foster care, he's absolutely thriving—and it's become pretty obvious that he was always meant to be somebody's house cat.

Eggplant is the definition of a "bro." He's easygoing, confident, and just wants to hang out with his people. Whether you're watching TV, working from home, or just relaxing after a long day, he's happy to keep you company. He's affectionate without being needy, social without being pushy, and has the kind of calm, steady personality that makes everyone feel instantly comfortable.

He survived life on the streets, overcame a major injury, and has embraced indoor life like a champion. His days of patrolling the neighborhood and fathering half the block are officially over.

Now he's looking for something much better: a couch, a family, and a lifelong best friend.

If you're looking for a chill companion who's equal parts resilient, handsome, and hilarious, Eggplant is ready to be your new favorite bro!

Apply Here:
https://www.catsatlargemke.org/adoption-application

Adoption Fee: $100

Adoption Fee Includes:
Age appropriate vaccinations
routine dewormers
spay/neuter
microchip
routine flea and tick preventative.

**Applicants are subject to routine background check, vet check, landlord/housing check.
