Eevee (Bonded to NineTails)'s Story

Meet Eevee from our Pokemon litter. She and her mother, NineTails are very bonded and are looking for a quiet home together.

Quieter and more independent than her littermates, Eevee enjoys her own space and observes before joining in. She's not standoffish, she just more reserved - taking a little longer to warm up before showing her sweeter, more relaxed side. Eevee can often be found off on her own, content to watch the world from a favorite perch, but when she's not having some personal time, she's curled up with her mother.

Eevee's ideal home will be a quieter household with someone who is home a lot and enjoys a low-key routine where Eevee can ease into trust at her own pace. When you walk in the room, she is likely to dash behind the closest object to hide, but she quickly comes out to sit near you and will give you a friendly bat and a sandpaper lick. Fast, unexpected movements will send her skittering back to her hiding place. She loves to play with her toys and her signature move is standing on her hind legs just before she pounces...on her toy, on her mom, or on you!

This pair will do best in a home where they are the only pets. They are looking for an adult home, or one with teens. They will not do well with children.

If you'd like to apply to adopt Eevee & NineTails, please visit https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/ for a copy of our online adoption application and for information regarding our adoption process and fees. Please note that this pair will only be adopted in the Greater Victoria area (Saanich Peninsula and south of the Malahat.)

Victoria Pet Adoption Society's Adoption Policy
Adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and a big responsibility. Dogs can live 15 years or more, and cats can live 20+ years. Like people, each individual pet comes with its own set of baggage, needs, and personality traits. Because your new pet will depend on you to provide its basic needs, we need to be sure that you are educated and up to the challenge. Our adoption process allows us to ask you some questions about your home environment, your lifestyle, and your needs, expectations, and limitations. We want to be sure that your new pet is going to be just as happy in its new home as you are to have it there. A Successful Adoption Process Includes the Following Steps: To start the adoption process, please complete the online adoption application found at https://victoriapets.ca/adoption-process/. If our adoption team feels as though your home will be a great fit for one of our pets they will contact you to set up a visit supervised by the foster parent who can answer some of the questions you may have about the animal of interest. You will not be able to take the pet home the day of the visit. One of our volunteers will contact you after the visit and will open a dialogue with you based on the information provided in your application. We will talk about your home and family, as well as your experience with pets. We will ask you to tell us about the kind of life and care you can offer to the adopted pet, and we will inform you about any health or behavioural issues that you should be aware of. (For dogs only) Once an adoption is pending, we will come visit your home to ensure that the environment is suitable for the pet in question, based on its needs. We can advise you of modifications that could make the adoption more successful, such as fencing and other things you may not have thought about. The adoption process generally takes several days, and this time line is intentional. It allows you time to think about your decision so that you can be sure that you are comfortable with the decision that you’ve made. Adoptions are never approved within 48 hours of the application being submitted. Once we have successfully journeyed through the steps above, you can pick up your new friend to begin a wonderful life together! Signing an adoption contract is a requirement for every pet that is adopted. Adoption Fees are as Follows: Kittens (up to 12 months of age) $400 Adult Cats (1 yr - 8yrs) $300 Senior Cats (9 yrs and older) $250 Special Needs Cats (other than kittens) $250 Puppies (up to 12 months of age) $600 Adult Dogs (1 yr - 8yrs) $400 Senior Dogs (9 yrs and older) $300 Special Needs dogs (other than puppies) $300 Rabbits $50 Guinea Pigs $30 Rats/hamsters $20 Mice $10 Adoption fees for other species may vary
