Ebony's Story

For inquiries contact jean@staf.org. Information and application are at www.staf.org.
Ebony is, you guessed it, a sleek, black beauty whose journey to safety began under a backyard deck, where she was found raising her kittens. After such a difficult start in life, it's understandable that she was cautious about trusting people.
Thankfully, Ebony and her little family were welcomed into a loving foster home, and over the months that followed, she blossomed into the sweet, affectionate cat we know today.
She now spends her days happily sharing one of our cat rooms with many feline friends and eagerly greeting her favorite volunteers. Ebony is always excited to see the people she loves and isn't shy about asking for attention. She loves being petted, especially belly rubs, and will chat away when she's feeling happy and excited. Ebony is also a clever girl, she even learned to hold her food bowl steady with her paw after watching her kitty friend Dolly do it!
While she prefers not to be picked up and may voice her opinion about it, she's never aggressive and simply lets you know she'd rather keep all four paws on the ground. One of her favorite pastimes is relaxing on her shelves where she can keep an eye on everything around her.
Now, after spending lots of time with us and building trust with her favorite volunteers, Ebony is ready for a home of her very own. In a calm, low-key household with patient people and other friendly pets, Ebony will show you just how much love she has to give. This intelligent, affectionate girl is hoping her forever family is right around the corner.
DOB: 7/2024
Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn't work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info. on adopting!
