Earl's Story

Meet Earl! Earl is a playful, independent little gentleman who loves to keep you guessing. He’s full of energy and mischief—always ready to pounce on a toy or chase after shadows. His absolute favorite game? Anything that lets him show off his hunting skills! Like many confident cats, Earl prefers things on his terms. He’s not the cuddliest or a fan of being held, but once he decides you’re part of his circle, he’ll be right by your side, ready for playtime, pets, and companionship. A great match for Earl would be his brother Lavender! If not one of his siblings, he’d still do best in a home with another friendly cat to help him feel confident and loved. Earl would thrive in a home that appreciates his spirited, adventurous nature and gives him the space to come around at his own pace. In return, he’ll bring endless fun, laughter, and personality to your days. Earl is currently in a foster home. Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
