Earl's Story
Earl is about 1 year old and was brought in by a kind town resident. He was found shivering outside after the snowstorm, and was reduced to gray fur and bones. He had a very bad limp, and it was determined that his paws suffered severe chemical burns from the road salt.

Earl is feeling much better now, and despite his rough start, he is nothing but affectionate and sweet to everyone he meets. He is a lovely gray boy, and he enjoys crinkle toys and nudging our volunteers for attention.

One of the many things we love about Earl is his little white socks, which he only wears on his back feet. They dance around as he is petted, and he purrs with joy. Earl is ready to meet his new family now, and live his best life as a house cat.

He will be ready to go home on February 20 and looks forward to meeting you!

Stop by to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always select the best placement for our animals. Please call your veterinarian to permit them to speak with us for our vet check. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you are allowed to have a cat.

Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. This includes FIV/FeLV testing, flea/tick preventatives, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines, and spay/neuter if six months or older. If they are too young, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.

For more info on our shelter and available pets, check us out online:

West Milford Animal Shelter Society
Lycosky Drive, West Milford, NJ 07480
(973) 728-2859

Visiting Hours
Mon - Fri: 10 - 1
Wed Night: 7:30 - 9
Weekends: 10 - 3
