Meet DUSTY<br/><br/>:<br/><br/>FOSTER OR ADOPT.<br/>Gets along well with other cats!<br/><br/>He is the sweetest chuckle-headed, Short squat, sweet lug of a cat that you have ever met. He is a hunk! So gentle, a lap sitter.<br/>ALL he wants is your attention<br/>. He was rescued as a young, beat up and suffering teen kitten abandoned in a North Georgia rural community. He FOUND a family, which is typical, and was begging for food and help at their door. He had been attacked many times by feral cats tying to get some food. Now he is all healed, beautiful, so CLEAN, calm and lovely fur. Such a gentleman kitty! He is a bit shy, always a pensive sweet look, but comes around immediately to ask for affection.<br/><br/>History: He was begging at a family home where he so WANTED to come inside. He looked mournfully sad at the window or patio door hoping to get in and FIND a family of his own. They had two inside cats (one to many aat that), and they COULD NOT take sweet Dusty. The family vetted him, healed, him, but unfortunately, the family had to sell the home, and could not take him. The new buyer said they HATED cats, so Dusty was in trouble! He would have been abandoned again and starved. AWHAR made sure it did not happen.<br/><br/>Ideal Home:<br/><br/>Dusty is seeking a forever home with humans and other cats, depending upon the cat. A Welcome Home Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All adoptions will be in the metro Atlanta area only. We require a completed application, vet and personal references, a home visit (may be virtual if needed). A trial adoption is required before the final adoption is done, which means we allow you to have our dog or cat for a 2-week trial period to ensure all goes and is well (it usually is). Once that trial period is over, a final adoption is done. IF it is learned in that trial period that the dog or cat is not a fit, then the dog or cat is returned to AWHAR with a full refund of the adoption fee. If at ANY TIME the dog or cat cannot be kept by the adoptive family (even if years after the adoption), that animal is required to be returned to the rescue group, which is stated in our contract. We do not allow the adoptive home to give, sell, or adopt out that animal that was adopted by our rescue.
