Duke's Story

Duke is a sweet old man who came into the shelter after someone noticed him laying alongside the road as they left for work, and came home to find him still laying in the same spot 11 hours later. They brought him inside, where he happily hung out with their cat, before bringing him into the shelter. When he was brought into the shelter it was discovered that he was feline leukemia negative, but FIV positive, so he'll need to be the only cat, or in a home with other FIV+ cats. He couldn't be positively aged, because poor Duke is down to only three teeth, which is responsible for his adorable snaggletoothed grin, so we only know that he's a senior cat. He can't eat hard food, but he'll easily and happily eat wet food. He's neutered, and vaccinated with Distemper, and Rabies. He loves people, and “making biscuits” to show how happy he is to be off the streets. He would be even happier in a home. Duke is ready to spend the rest of his life in a home getting the love and care he deserves.
