DOWNSPOUT's Story
Meet Downspout!

Every great adventurer has an origin story, and Downspout's is one for the books.

This handsome brown tabby boy is about 8 weeks old and got his name after being discovered trapped inside a gutter downspout. After a careful rescue operation and some patient coaxing, he was safely extracted from his unlikely hiding place and given a second chance at life.

While his first adventure was a little more exciting than anyone would have preferred, Downspout is now ready to begin the next chapter: finding a loving forever home.

Like many brave explorers, Downspout is still cautious about new places and new people. He can be quite shy and will need a quiet, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. With time, gentle encouragement, and plenty of love, this little survivor is sure to grow into a wonderful companion.

If you have a calm home and a soft spot for underdogs—or under-gutters—Downspout may be the perfect kitten for you. Help this tiny adventurer discover that the best place to land is a home of his own. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is $100.
