Doug's Story
Meet Doug, or Dougie, Dougarooni, Doooouuuuug.

There’s just something about Doug that’s irresistible. In fact, at one vet visit, one of the techs kept dropping by his room—she just couldn’t get enough. If Doug were human, he’d be the quiet, enigmatic observer in the corner of the room, delivering a perfectly timed, witty quip or sage observation to the delight of everyone in earshot.
Doug is by far his foster’s all-time favorite, and if she hadn’t already foster-failed three times, he’d be hers forever. But lucky you—this wonderfully quirky, irresistibly lovable guy is up for adoption!
This compelling fella was not thriving outside when his foster found him. At first, uncertain of his temperament, we were thinking he might need to be returned to the neighborhood as a TNR kitty (hence the clipped ear) after he recuperated indoors. But within days of being brought into care he revealed sweet disposition, accepting pets and purring—this despite seemingly never having interacted so intimately with people before.

As sweet as he is, Doug likely won't ever be a social butterfly, but he’s content to watch the action from the sidelines. And while he’s not a lap cat (yet), he’s an excellent companion, soothingly cuddling up next to you as you go about your business (as he is as of this writing). He adores purring and soaking up pets—even making dancy floor biscuits for you.

Doug is currently fostered in the greater San Francisco Bay Area with Solano County Friends of Animals. He’s up to date on his FVRCP vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, dewormed, and tested for FELV/FIV. If you’re ready to share your life with this one-of-a-kind sweetheart, contact SCFoA to meet him today!
