Dottie's Story

Dottie is the kind of cat who asks for very little and is content to do her own thing in her chill way. She’s super mellow and can blend right into the background, content to watch the world unfold from her favorite spot in her cat tree or looking out the window. Don't mistake her quiet nature for disinterest, Dottie is simply a careful observer who warms up on her own terms.

She has a soft spot for the laser light and will occasionally come alive with a wand toy when the mood strikes. Mostly, though, she is happiest simply existing. Napping, watching, and going about her quiet life are how this low maintenance beauty fills her days.

Dottie is shy around new people and will need a patient, loving home where she can settle in on her own terms. Given time and space, she'll show you just how sweet she really is.

Dottie came to us with her buddy Elvis and we would like to see them adopted together. Elvis is laid back and easy to live with. Together they're two peas in a pod, quietly keeping each other company without any fuss. Dottie is a huge fan of temptations and will come any time you shake the tub. You just have to district Elvis or he will gobble them up faster than she does (he swallows them whole!). A household without young children would suit them best. If you have room in your heart and home for this mellow duo, they come as a package deal and wouldn't have it any other way.

To start the adoption process, an application must be completed and approved. You will find our full adoption process and the application at www.aarflove.org.

We also have kitty adoption events most Saturdays from 12-3pm, where you can meet and interact with some of our available kitties. See our website for more information.

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF)'s Adoption Policy
All of our pets are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if applicable, dewormed, deflead and microchipped, PRIOR to adoption. Our cats are Felv/Fiv tested as well. Our adoption amounts: DOGS 6 months and older ~ $400 PUPPIES younger than 6 months ~ $500. CATS and KITTENS 6 months older ~ $150. KITTENS younger than 6 months ~ $200. If you find a pet you would like to meet, please visit our website at www.aarflove.org to submit an application. We do not do actual adoptions at our events; the events are for applicants to meet our adoptable animals and for us to meet potential adopters. It's important to submit an application to be considered for adoption. Our animals are also not "first come, first serve" and forever homes are always chosen based on the best fit for each animal. All of our animals are in private foster homes so attending one of our events or by meet and greets, is the best way to get to know our adoptable pets.
