Dottie's Story

Well, hello there! I’m Dottie!

Born in November 2025, I’m the leader of my pack, always looking to explore and go into the world of possibilities. Between you and I, I’m the bravest, friendliest, and sweetest of my litter. I keep a very close eye on my surroundings, especially if anyone gets near the door to the kitten room. Even though I love to explore, I do love to snuggle up on my fosters’ laps to get some ear or chin rubs. It feels so good to be pet! If it is possible to be independent and snuggly, then that is me. Once my affection needs are met, I play with my siblings, Doja and Diego. Goodness, we have a good time chasing, wrestling and being silly! You will be so amazed by my speed and stunt jumps!

I had a rough start to life but am doing well now. At the food dish I eat well and share with my siblings making sure we all get enough. I’m just being introduced to the other cats in the house and so far, I’m a good little kitty that just wants to see and smell every little corner and make new feline friends. Who knows about those things called dogs though, I’ve never met one. I’m very enthusiastic about using the litter box, perhaps too enthusiastic digging as my foster mom had to get a litter box with sides to contain my enthusiasm.

If you are interested in meeting this kitten, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

--
In hopes of promoting healthy lifelong social skills for cats, The Rescue Pack has a policy for kittens who are 4 months or younger that requires them to be adopted: As a pair, with a cat who is 3 years or younger, or adopted into a home with a cat who is 3 years or younger.

Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age.

The Rescue Pack's Adoption Policy
If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
