Dot's Story
Dot was found on the streets in San Bernardino and had a very rough start to her journey this year. She gave birth in the shelter and was unfortunately very ill to the point where she dropped down to 4.9 pounds in weight! Cats & Cuddles saw the shelter's plea for a rescue to pull Dot and her kittens and leapt to collect her from the situation.

Due to the medications she needed to be taking, Dot had to be separated from her kittens which allowed for Dot to focus on healing, gaining weight, and taking care of herself. Despite the litter of kittens, Dot would like it be known that she really isn't a 'mom'-- she has made it very clear that she is just a baby herself, and if anything she was born to be the annoying older sibling to her three fellow fosters sisters. She likes to play hard and often, and after she's worn out, *then* she will cuddle-- she especially likes to play with Buttercup, the smaller tortie pictured with her above!

She's been such a wonderful role model for her younger foster sister, helping her to come out of her shell and really bloom into a confident, affectionate little kitty because Dot leads by example! She will come put her paws on the thigh of a brand new person to politely request pets and affection, even five minutes after they've arrived!

At this point in time, because of how long they've been together, we believe that Dot and Buttercup are a bonded pair that must go together. While Buttercup is super chill with meeting new cats, Dot does need time and patience for her to truly get comfortable with other cats. It took two weeks for her to be comfortable and playful with Dot, and now, months later they are inseparable.

Dot has been spayed, vaccinated, deflea'd, dewormed, rabies vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150 and is payable to Cats & Cuddles, a local non-profit rescue that is dedicated to finding friendly kitties homes and helping stop the cycle of kittens being born on the rough streets to ever expanding feral colonies!

If you would like to meet Dot and Buttercup please email their foster to receive an application to fill out: catsandcuddles.info@gmail.com-- or download an application from our website: catsandcuddles.carrd.co and email it to the same! Our entire adoption process is laid out for transparency/reference on the website.
