Dorthea's Story

Dorthea is a 2-month-old female kitten with a soft, timid nature and a surprisingly bold streak. While she may be shy, she's also the one who isn't afraid to stand her ground. Her bravery makes her all the more special! Despite her quiet nature, Dorthea gets along well with other cats and dogs and adjusts nicely in a multi-pet home!

This adorable ticked tabby has the cutest squirrel-like coat and a playful personality to match! Dorothea loves toys and has an especially charming "hunter" instinct - she'll pounce, carry her toys around, and even run around with them - which is as cute as it sounds! She's also very food motivated, which makes bonding with her even easier.

Though she leans independent, Dorothea does enjoy cuddling with her siblings and will happily snuggle up once she feels safe and comfortable. She shares a close bond with Karma and would likely do especially well in a home with her! With patience and love, Dorothea will blossom into a devoted and entertaining companion!

All CSHS kitties are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FIV/FeLV test (if not born in care), dewormed and microchipped.

If you would like to meet Dorthea, please fill out an application on our website today!

Carver-Scott Humane Society's Adoption Policy
At the Carver Scott Humane Society, we follow an Adopter's Welcome philosophy. This means that instead of an overwhelming application process, home visits, and hoop jumping, we take a conversational approach to our adoptions. Our goal is to make adoptions possible and help you be a successful pet parent! Once an application is submitted, we take applications as "first-come, first-considered." While this does not guarantee that the first applicant will adopt the animal of their choice, it does guarantee that we will process the application all the way through before moving on to the next application in line. If you see an animal you are interested in, please apply as soon as possible! This does not obligate you to the animal in case you change your mind, but may assist in securing your place in line for that animal.
