Dorito's Story

Meet Dorito! Dorito is an adorable orange tabby born on April 9, 2026, with a gentle heart and a sweet, thoughtful personality. While he may be a little reserved when meeting new people or exploring new surroundings, it doesn't take long for his playful, affectionate side to emerge. Once he knows he's safe, Dorito blossoms into a fun-loving kitten who enjoys every moment with his favorite people and feline friends. Dorito loves climbing cat trees, batting around jingly toys, watching the world from a sunny window, and chasing anything that moves. His favorite pastime, however, is spending time with his brother, Cheeto. Whether they're wrestling, racing through the house, exploring together, or curling up for a nap, these two are rarely far apart. One of Dorito's most charming features is his expressive eyes. He has perfected the art of giving the sweetest, most irresistible look whenever he's hoping for a cuddle, a toy, or a tasty treat. His quiet, loving nature makes every bit of trust he gives feel extra special. Dorito is being fostered in a home with other cats and is doing wonderfully. He would thrive with a family willing to let him settle in at his own pace and discover just how loving and playful he truly is. Dorito shares an incredibly close bond with his brother, Cheeto, and they are looking for a forever home where they can continue their adventures together. If you're hoping to add two playful, affectionate, and entertaining orange boys to your family, Dorito and Cheeto would love to meet you. Dorito is neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped, and litter box trained. For more information or to schedule a meet and greet, please contact adopt@carolinapaws.com.

It's in everyone's best interest to find the right match, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated. As soon as your application is approved (generally within 3-5days), Carolina P.A.W.S. will get in touch with you to arrange for you to meet your new pet! Filling out an application does not obligate you to adopt nor guarantee and adoption. Adoption Requirements: An application must be submitted prior to meeting the pet. Vets and references will be contacted; If you vet office requires client approve before giving out information, we ask that you contact their office once you submit an application. No animal will ever be adopted to "outside only" homes, as we firmly believe pets have a right to the warmth and safety of the indoors. Some dogs may require a fenced in yard or may not be suitable for an apartment, condo or townhome. A meet and greet will be arranged by a Carolina P.A.W.S. representative. A contract must be signed at the time of the adoption. An adoption fee is required to help defray the cost of the pet's spay /neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any other medical cost. All applicants need to be 21 years of age or older to apply. An applicant must be fully employed and proof of employment may be requested. If you reside in a rental property, we will contact the property owner to confirm that an animal is allowed. This date will be scheduled prior to adoption and will be stated on the adoption contract.
