Dora the Explorer!'s Story

Dora found her way to a woman's house who fed raccoons! she had previously been spayed and needed a place to land and find food! An all out search was done for her home but no microchip and no-one claimed her... she is a smart little survivor and navigated her way amongst the raccoons. This kind woman fed her and reached out to us for help... Dora used to weave around her feet so we knew she had been with people at one time!

Sure enough.. Dora took a few months to relax and realize she was safe... she had a little eye allergy we cured with eye drops!

Dora got her name because... when she was getting to know us and nervous.. she found places to hide! on top of the refrigerator.. bathroom cabinet (yes, she opens it!).. .she will keep you on your toes!

She is super smart - if she knows you? she'll come say hi and play and wants attention - she is not fond of strangers! she loves to play... she loves attention and to be pet... she has rules... no full body pets... Dora wants someone who understands cats and will let her get comfy at her own pace... it will so be worth it... she is a smart, sweet, magical little girl!

Right now she lives in a space with another foster and they get along well, but our dream for Dora is that she gets to be an only cat in a nice calm house and truly flourish... she is a very special sweet little girl with a splash of spice and indepedence!
