DOOGIE's Story

DOOGIE is a handsome 5-month-old GRAY AND WHITE DOMESTIC LONGHAIR kitten with a heart as big as his adorable personality. This sweet boy is a total love bug who lives for cuddles and affection. At the end of a fun-filled day, you'll often find him curled up next to his foster mom, happily snoozing the night away. When he's not snuggling, Doogie is busy being a playful kitten! He loves chasing toys, wrestling with his feline friends, and exploring everything around him. Because he's such a social boy, he'll need a home with another playful cat to keep him company. Even better, his brother (Bubbles) and sister (Dottie) are also available for adoption if you're thinking about bringing home a ready-made pair! Doogie would do wonderfully in a home with children who will enjoy playing with him and giving him lots of love. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations, has been microchipped, and still has his claws. Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy

We rarely get kittens of any breed. If we do, they will be listed in the “Available for Adoption” section. We can only hold cats for ONE WEEK. IF YOU ARE NOT READY TO ADOPT A CAT NOW, PLEASE WAIT TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Please remember that our cats are located in various foster homes in 6 different midwestern states (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota). We do adopt to people out of state but WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT OUR CATS. You must pick up the cat in person at the foster home. You cannot send a representative. So, you would be looking at a road trip or plane ride. If you cannot do this, please DO NOT APPLY. We do not keep a waiting list for any breeds. Please be sure that you are interested in a specific cat on the “Available for Adoption” page before filling out an application. YOU MUST FILL OUT EVERY SPACE OF THE ADOPTION APPLICATION OR IT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR PROCESSED. Please note: we will contact your vet to make sure your other animals are fixed and up to date on vaccinations. Please notify your vet and give them permission to release your information to SPCR.

Our mission is to use our specialized knowledge of cat breeds to provide an appropriate foster alternative for homeless purebred cats and kittens whose special requirements are difficult to meet in a shelter environment, in addition to helping as many special needs domestic cats as our resources allow.
