Dolly's Story

If you are looking for a gentle, loving companion who just wants to be close to you, Dolly is your girl. Dolly is the sweetest little momma with a soft heart and an even softer personality. Once you sit down, she will happily plop right beside you and soak up all the rubs you’re willing to give. Being loved on is her absolute favorite thing.

Dolly was found as a stray doing her very best to keep her two babies safe while slowly learning to trust humans. Because of that, she can be a little shy at first and may run to a cozy hiding spot when she feels unsure. But once she settles in and knows she’s safe, her affectionate side shines. She truly just wants a calm home where she can relax and feel secure.

She does well with other cats given a proper introduction and would be fine in a home with children of any age. Dolly isn’t flashy — she’s tender, loyal, and deeply loving. She’s truly an absolute gem just waiting for her forever person.

Dolly is fully vetted: spayed, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped.

If you are interested in adopting Dolly, please submit an application at tgspca.org/cat—application

Our fosters are located in south central Kentucky, but we welcome out of state adopters and can work with families on transportation.

Taylor Co SPCA's Adoption Policy
To ensure the best match for your family, we have an application process for our adoptable dogs and cats. You can access the applications here: https://www.tgspca.org/ After your application is submitted, TCSPA will review your application and contact character references, vets, etc. As part of the review process, you may be contacted to answer questions or provide a video tour of your home. Application processing usually takes 5-7 days. If your application is approved, you will be contacted to arrange a time to meet with your potential pet and a volunteer/foster from the SPCA. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure you and the animal are right for each other. If this meeting goes well, your pet can go home with you that day! Most meet & greets end with an adoption. During the meeting, we will review our adoption contract. Once the adoption is finalized and the adoption contract is signed, your new best friend is ready to go home with you!
