Dizzle's Story

Hi, I’m Dizzle!

Don’t let my petite size—or my resting hiss face—fool you! I’m actually a sweet, playful little gray-and-white girl with a huge heart. I have this funny habit of greeting people with a soft hiss, but don’t take it personally—it’s just my quirky way of saying hello. The second you start petting me, I melt into purrs (and sometimes even drool a little when I get really happy!).

I love playing with other cats and kittens. While I might hiss at new friends at first, it never takes long before I’m chasing toys and wrestling right alongside them. I’m still a bit unsure about being picked up—it’s scary for me—but I adore gentle pets, ear scratches, and belly rubs once I feel safe.

The best way to earn my trust is to give me a cozy hidey spot I can retreat to—someplace you can gently move when needed. Offer me treats, speak softly, and let me come to you on my terms. Before long, I’ll be seeking out your affection and showering you with purrs.

Because I’m a sensitive soul, I’d do best in a calm, patient home without small children or lots of noise. I’d also love to have another friendly cat to help me feel secure and show me the ropes.

I might be tiny, but I’ve got a big personality and even bigger love to give. If you’re looking for a quirky, affectionate companion who just needs a little patience to shine, I think we’d make the perfect match.

Dizzle is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
