Dig Dug might be your guy! This handsome one-year-old boy is a friendly, confident and very social cat who loves being around his people. He’s laid-back and easygoing, with a fun, talkative personality and a unique meow. If he wants your attention, he’ll make sure you know it - he can be quite persistent when there’s something he wants! Dig Dug loves human interaction and enjoys being picked up and cuddled, although he’s not really a lap cat. He’s more likely to curl up on the sofa or bed when it’s time to relax. He’s also got plenty of energy and loves to play with his foster friends. Playtime is a favourite, especially toys he can chase along the floor and carry around in his mouth. Springs and wand toys are particular favourites. Soft toys need to be sturdy or supervised, as Dig Dug can make surprisingly quick work of pulling them apart! Dig Dug does have a history of seizures and takes half a pill twice a day to help keep them under control. He’s had three seizures in total, with his most recent one being several months ago. They occurred after extended, energetic play, such as a particularly exciting session with a dangle toy. His medication helps keep him calmer, and he takes it wonderfully - he’ll happily eat his pill from your hand when it’s tucked into a pill pocket. In fact, he’s very good at reminding you when it’s medication time! Dig Dug is good with other cats and MUST have another friendly cat buddy for him to play with.<br/><br/>Dig Dug arrived in our care as a bottle baby, with his siblings. He has been with us in foster for more than a year and watched all his siblings get adopted before him. <br/><br/>With his friendly nature, playful energy and big personality, Dig Dug would love a home where he can have plenty of companionship, interaction and playtime. Don’t let his seizure history put you off this wonderful boy. He’s doing really well on his medication, and there is hope that, as he grows and matures, his seizures may become less of an issue or even resolve. For now, he just needs a family who is comfortable keeping up with his simple twice-daily medication and giving him the love and companionship he’s looking for.<br/><br/>As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first come, first served.
