Diet Coke's Story

Now coming to a theater near you... the movie crew!!! Diet Coke is exactly what you need after a long day! Diet Coke and his siblings (Popcorn and Milk Dud) came to Trash Cat from a colony with only brown tabbies! Working with a great caretaker, Trash Cat has gotten 8 kittens from 3 different litters as well as 2 of the mama cats so far! They made themselves at home pretty quickly and are now very well adjusted to the indoor life. They are also being fostered with Little Fart and Pico. Between the 5 of them they make one big happy family!

Just like folks who drink Diet Coke, Diet Coke himself can be a little picky... he knows what he likes (and what he doesnt). He also thinks he's a real tough guy and will sometimes give his foster mom a little hiss when she tries to rudely "manhandle" him (his words). However, once he is out romping with his siblings, he is right at home! Hs is very playful and loves teaser toys and treats. We think he will warm up very quickly in his forever home but may need a little extra attention to get him settled in.

Since he is so young and playful, Milk Dud must be adopted into a home with his sister Popcorn, or he could also do well in a home with another young playful resident cat, but it may be especially helpful for Diet Coke to be adopted with one of the friends he is already comfortable with since it can take him a little longer to warm up! He has not met kids, but we think he would do well with respectful older kids. He has not met a dog.

Diet Coke is 3 months old. He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV / Felv. Apply to adopt this stubborn little boy today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
