Diet Coke's Story

Meet Diet Coke! -

Diet Coke is a gentle, middle-aged gentleman who's ready to leave his rough-and-tumble outdoor days behind for good. Life on the streets wasn't easy on him, and he wears a few scars from his adventures, but you'd never know it from his sweet nature. Since coming indoors, he's shown nothing but kindness and has never been aggressive.

Like any distinguished guy, Diet Coke has his preferences. He's not always a fan of butt scratches (I mean, who is, especially when people just do it without asking if it's OK), and he'll politely let you know when he's had enough. Dogs are a bit of a mixed bag—during a short foster stay with two small pups who believed every cat was destined to love them, Diet Coke greeted them with a few well-earned hisses. Once they respected his boundaries, though, everyone got along just fine.

Diet Coke is wonderfully independent and a little delightfully derpy. He tends to ignore other cats in favor of entertaining himself, so he'd be perfectly happy as your one and only feline. If he does share a home with another cat, he'd do best with one that's laid-back and happy to coexist. Because he hasn't spent time around children, it's hard to predict how he'd feel about them.

At around 5 years old, Diet Coke is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He's done his time as the neighborhood heartthrob—winning over all the ladies and roaming wherever the wind took him. These days, though, he's ready to retire from his man-cat ways, trade the nightlife for a cozy couch, and find a forever home where he can finally settle down with someone to call his own.

If you're looking for a sweet, low-key companion with a big heart, a little character, and a lifetime of love left to give, Diet Coke is ready to meet you.
