Once he trusts you he will happily curl up next to you on the sofa or on your chest at bedtime.<br/><br/>Dexter can be a bit shy at first, but once he settles in, his playful side comes out. He enjoys his toys and play time. Wand toys, balls and kick toys are his favourites. <br/><br/>Dexter is also well-mannered - great with the litter box, no furniture scratching, and not one to get into trouble. He’s quiet, low-key, and easy to have around. He just wants to be with his people. <br/><br/>If you’re looking for a respectful cat with a gentle heart and a playful streak, Dexter could be a perfect match. He enjoys the company of his humans, so his ideal home would be with a quiet family where there is usually someone around. He would not be suited to a home with younger children, but he would probably be OK with a quiet teenager.<br/><br/>It's a good thing that Dexter enjoys brushing as his fur requires daily attention to prevent matting. His foster will send his favourite brush with him to his new home.<br/><br/>Dexter has a runny eye related to an Upper Respiratory Infection which is currently inactive. The infection may reoccur when he is stressed. CRPAWS can advise his new family on how to manage this issue, which does not affect his quality of life. Because URIs can be contagious, it would be best for Dexter to be the only cat in his family.<br/><br/>Dexter has been neutered, microchipped, dewormed, vet checked, and vaccinated.
