Desmond's Story
Desmond
1 year, 8lbs
Turned in by his previous owner through no fault of his own. Rescued in the Southwest.

Meet Desmond, or Momo for short! This calm, affectionate, curious 1-year-old, 8-pound guy has settled into his foster home beautifully — no plant-chewing, though he's definitely explored every dark corner and cozy hiding spot he could find (his favorite being a drawer full of clothes). He's pretty independent, but the moment he notices you're up and about, he'll come looking for play and kisses. He handled a few hours alone without any fuss, staying right where he was left, and he's already litter and crate trained. His energy is moderate — a few 15-minute play sessions a day (bonus points for anything with a string) keep him happy, and the rest of the time he's content couch-potato-ing, window-watching, or napping.

Desmond would do well in an apartment and thrives in a home that's mostly calm but has room for some daily playtime, ideally with someone home at least half the time to keep him company. His foster describes him as sweet, quiet, playful, and deeply affectionate — the kind of cat who spends his days chilling by the window or in his favorite drawer, always ready for a cuddle. Desmond would make a wonderful, easygoing addition to just about any home.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Desmond, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt@truenorthrescue.org to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE. IF THIS LISTING IS UP, THE DOG IS NOT ADOPTED YET.

Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
