Dennis's Story

Dennis has the soul of a tiny goblin businessman who absolutely believes he’s tougher than he actually is. Much like his namesake from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, he approaches strangers with an impressive amount of suspicion and a deeply inflated sense of self-preservation.

At first, Dennis may hiss, hide, or act like you personally offended him by existing in his general vicinity. But give him a little time, some patience, and a strategic offering of treats, and suddenly you’ll discover he’s actually a very sweet, affectionate little guy underneath all the drama. He just likes to pretend he’s difficult.

Dennis is 7 months old, which means he currently runs on approximately 40% snacks and 60% chaos. He’s playful right now, but already showing tendencies towards being a bum. He needs an adopter who will help him stay active with regular playtime to avoid turning into a blob. Wand toys are a special favorite. Do not for a second believe his laziness means you can avoid random kitten sprints through the house at any hour.

Dennis is fine with other cats when properly introduced. He likes to play with the other cats in his foster home and has appointed himself funcle of the tiny kittens there. He might do well with older, respectful children. He hasn’t met dogs, and he would have to be introduced to any dogs slowly and patiently.

Dennis needs a patient adopter who understands that shy cats just need time to feel secure - and who won’t be offended when he goes from purring beside you to hissing in annoyance at…something. A calmer home would suit him best, but if the household is louder or more chaotic, he’ll need a quiet adjustment space where he can slowly acclimate without feeling overwhelmed.

The best part about Dennis is that once he trusts you, you get to watch the tough-guy routine completely fall apart! Underneath the hissing and theatrics is just a goofy, loving kitten who wants to play, feel safe, and maybe commit minor acts of nonsense in your living room.
He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. Now all he needs is a forever home! Apply for him today!

If you're interested in adopting, the first step is to fill out the application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
