Decker (bonded with Stanley)'s Story

Meet Decker! He is a gentle, sensitive soul who's still learning that the world is a safe place. He can be shy at first and will need a little time and patience to feel comfortable in a new home - but once he warms up you'll see his quiet, sweet personality shine through.

Decker isn't the kind of cat who will jump into your lap or enjoy being picked up, but he shows his affection in his own subtle ways - lounging nearby, keeping you company and slowly building a bond based on trust. He would do best with someone who understands that love doesn't always look like cuddles, and who is willing to let him come to them on his own terms.

Decker is bonded with his brother, Stanley, and they will need to be adopted together. Stanley helps give Decker confidence and together they make a wonderful pair - bringing comfort to each other and quietly filling a home with love.

A calm, predictable home will help them both feel secure, and in return, you'll gain two loyal companions who just need a little understanding to truly blossom.

If you believe that the best relationships are built with patience and respect, Decker & Stanley might be the perfect match for you.

To apply, go to LPAH.org

Adoptions are $200 for adult dogs, $275 for puppies (under 5 months), $100 for adult cats, and $175 for kittens (under 5 months). We also have hero pets. These pets are a more desirable breed and their adoption fee is $300. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered (if they are too young an appointment will be made when they become of age). LPAH is a foster based rescue which means our animals are placed in a loving foster home while they wait to find their forever home! If you are interested in applying for any of our adoptable animals, please fill out an application at lpah.org/adoption or via the link on this page and we can set up a time for you to meet your potential new best friend! Because we are foster based, we only adopt out to the states of NC, SC, and VA. Puppies and kittens are a smaller adoption range, as they are required to have remaining vetting prior to adoption finalization. If interested in fostering for us, learn more at lpah.org/foster-for-us
