Decker's Story

Decker has had a very difficult life. He was found last December and was very ill. The gentleman that found him could not take him to his home but he took him to his vet and boarded him there while he was being treated for a severe URI. His right eye did not open as it appeared that as a kitten he had such a severe URI that the eye had grown shut. This caused the eye to never developed so he really does not have a right eye. It was determined that he had the herpes virus. Once he came to our rescue, we took him to our vet and it was determined that it would be best to leave the eye alone as the small opening allowed the eye to drain. During one of his follow up appointments a heart defect was detected. A test was preformed and it was discovered that he does have a severe heart defect and it could be fatal. He is such a sweet, happy cat and deserve to be happy for as long as he has. He is FIV/Leukemia negative, current on vaccines, flea and worm treated and microchip. His approx. DOB is 1/6/2025.
