Dean's Story

Dean’s story began in May 2024, in a home with far more cats than anyone could care for.

When help finally came, he and his siblings were given a second chance—a fresh start and the promise of a better life. Now, this handsome boy is ready to write the next chapter of his story, one filled with love, safety, and belonging.

From the moment you meet him, it’s clear Dean’s heart is wide open. He’s confident, affectionate, and loves being around people. He soaks up attention like sunshine—purring when you pet him, leaning in for affection, and following you around just to be near. When playtime comes, Dean’s zest for life shines through. Whether he’s scaling his cat tree, chasing a toy with kitten-like enthusiasm, or curling up in a sunny window for a nap, he approaches every moment with joy and curiosity.

Dean’s easygoing nature extends to other cats, too—he gets along beautifully with every feline he’s introduced to. He’d be thrilled to be adopted with one of his siblings, Pearl or Charlie, or would fit right in with another friendly young cat who enjoys a good play session or a shared nap in a sunny spot.

He dreams of a home with cozy perches, plenty of windows for birdwatching, room to zoom and play, and a human who will love him as much as he’ll love them. He’d thrive in an adult-only home or one with calm, respectful older children who understand that his heart, as big as it is, still needs gentleness.

After all he’s been through, Dean is ready to trade uncertainty for love, and loneliness for family.

He’s not just looking for a home—he’s hoping to find his person. Could that be you?

--
Dean has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He has been neutered.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting Dean, please go to our website and fill out a cat application.

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
