Dawn's Story

Dawn is a beautiful black kitty that was brought to us by a good samaritan that found her shortly after she gave birth. Tragically her kittens did not make it because they were undernourished and born outside, one of the many reasons why we strongly believe cats do better indoors. Now poor Dawn is waiting for her forever home. <br/><br/>Dawn is a little shy but we can't blame her, she had a rough few months. But she's a pretty lady that deserves a home!<br/><br/>Dawn is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and tests negative for FIV and FELV. Adoption : We at The Meriden Humane Society believe in a personalized adoption process that pairs you with your new forever family member. To do so we ask that all potential adopters submit an online adoption application. When doing so please let us know if there is a specific animal you are interested in. We will work with you to process your application and help you find the right member of our fur family to become part of yours. We do offer frequent Cat Open House events (applications not required). Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for dates & times of those events.
