David's Story
Neutered Male
1 Year Old
6 Months
$40

David came to us from a home where he lived with one person and seven other cats, making for a very quiet, predictable lifestyle. Because he had limited exposure to new people, visitors, and everyday household activity, David is a very shy young cat who is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place.

While David has never been much of a cuddler and doesn't particularly enjoy being picked up, he does seem to enjoy simply sharing space with the people he trusts. He's the kind of cat who will likely be happiest quietly relaxing nearby rather than being the center of attention. As he continues to gain confidence, we think he'll continue to come out of his shell and let more of his personality shine through.

Having lived with several other cats, David may enjoy sharing his new home with a friendly feline companion. He previously lived with Jessicat, and although they do not need to be adopted together, they may enjoy being reunited. Having a familiar friend could help both cats feel more secure as they adjust to a new home.

David would do best in a calm, quieter home where he can settle in at his own pace. If you're looking for a gentle companion and understand that trust takes time, David may be the perfect addition to your family.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to an adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We do highly recommend and may require you to bring any dogs that reside in the same household, or that will be around commonly if you are meeting a new dog companion.

Want to Know if Im Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability. If youd like to show youre thinking about adopting, please fill out an application on our website under "Adopt" at www.hsomc.org.

Open Adoption Hours:

Tuesday & Wednesday: Noon 6 pm

Thursday & Friday: Noon 7 pm

Saturday: Noon 4 pm

Im located at the Humane Society of Midland County, 4371 E Ashman St, Midland, MI 48642.

We cant wait to meet you and help you find your new best friend!
