David's Story

David is a handsome grey-and-white senior gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger love for people.

If you're looking for a cat who will make sure you never feel lonely, David is your guy. He loves human attention and isn't shy about asking for it, often greeting his favorite people with adorable chirps and chatter. Whether he's following you around the house, asking for pets, or simply keeping you company, David wants to be part of your day.

This sweet boy thrives on affection and enjoys spending time with his humans. He's the kind of cat who forms strong bonds and isn't afraid to let you know when he'd like a little extra attention. His cheerful chirps and friendly nature make him impossible not to love.

When it comes to other cats, David can sometimes be a little... opinionated. He doesn't always appreciate sharing the spotlight and may need time and patience to adjust to feline roommates. Because of this, he'd likely be happiest as the only cat in the home, where he can enjoy his favorite role: being the center of attention and the recipient of all the love.

David has reached his senior years, but he's still full of charm, affection, and character. He deserves a home where he can spend his days being adored--and where he can return that love tenfold.

If you're searching for a loyal companion who will happily chirp his way into your heart, David is waiting to meet you.

D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre's Adoption Policy
Connecting the right pets with the right families If you come to D'Arcy's A.R.C. to adopt a pet, you will be asked many questions to ensure that the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home and that you are prepared for the responsibilities and commitment of pet ownership. This discussion can go several ways. We may agree that the pet you are considering is an excellent match for your lifestyle, and lucky to have met you. We may suggest that you select a pet more suited to the home environment you will provide, or we may determine that you cannot take on the responsibilities and commitment of pet ownership at this time. Suppose you want to adopt a special needs pet with a physical condition or behavioural issues requiring extra care. In that case, we will ask that you fill out an application form. Our shelter manager will review this application form to ensure that you are aware of the cat's needs and the potential costs involved and can provide a suitable home. Potential adopters must provide a valid photo I.D. If you are leasing or renting a property for which the pet will call home, a copy of your leasing agreement that outlines that your home is pet-friendly is required. A letter or email signed by the landlord is also acceptable. All of our pets are spayed & neutered. Any kittens or puppies too young for the procedure at the time of adoption will have their spay/neuter paid for at our expense at our chosen veterinary clinic when they reach six months of age. Our cats all receive FVRCP vaccines, while all dogs receive DA2PP and Rabies. The adopter is responsible and must pay for any other medical treatments required after the adoption process. All adopted pets come with a care package, trial pet insurance, and a valid City of Winnipeg pet license for one year.
