____________________________________________
Davey is a sweet, cuddly kitty who's content to sit by you and watch TV or just hang out! Davey (aka "Davey Baby) is also quite a survivor and is looking for a person or family who can commit to giving him a secure & stable future - things he's missed out on in the past.

If you want a kitty to sit next to you or on you while you watch TV or read then Davey is a perfect match!! Among Davey's favorite choices for being near his humans are a lap, the arm of the couch/chair and his very favorite back-feet-on-lap while he rests his front legs on your chest & gaves lovingly at you - its hard to resist petting him when he does this!

Davey has been very affectionate since his rescue, despite being in significant pain from very poor dental health. But his adopters won't need to worry about getting him any dental work in the future because on 5/18/21, he had *all* his teeth removed. Many rescue cats come to foster care in poor dental health and its not unusual for some of them to need a full mouth extraction like Davey had. The vast majority of foster cats like Davey can eat dry food just fine even with no teeth.

RESCUE HISTORY: Davey, who's about 6-7 yrs old, and his two siblings were abandoned in their home when their owner was evicted and were quickly put out on the street by the property owner. By the time a neighbor trapped Davey, he'd gone w/out food for so long he was emaciated and jaundiced from "hepatic lipidosis" that can happen when cats go w/o food for too long. With the help of his foster & vet, Davey fully recovered and is up to a healthy ideal 10 lb weight.

An application, including character references from non-relatives and your veterinarian (if you have current or previous pets), is required. Your donation of $75 will contribute to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, deworming medication, and flea and ear mite treatments.

CNYCC is a New York State Registered Shelter/Rescue, Registration Number: RR099
