Dara Domestic Short Hair Mix Joliet, IL

Dara is a 5 1/2 year old Tortie available for adoption. She was originally adopted from us five years ago when she was young kitten. She has been very loved and spoiled in her home but unfortunately was recently returned when her owner lost her home and had nowhere to go with Dara. Dara is slowly settling back into the shelter setting but isn't too happy. She was stressed out as her owner tried to find a home with her but had to resort to crating her so she wouldn't have to bring her back. Dara started overgrooming and pulling her hair so she is missing some of her fur from her belly and back legs. Dara has shown that she can be a bit sassy at times so she is looking for a home with kids 10+ that will respect her space. We were told she will likely be a bit nervous in a new home setting so she may take a little while to completely feel comfortable in a new home. She is not happy being around other animals so she is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. Her adoption fee is $50 and includes all her vaccines, registered microchip, fecal exam, deworming, FIV/FeLV test, and spay.
