Dante is a smart, loyal, snuggly, funny companion who doesn’t just want a home—he wants a person to devote himself to who is also fully committed to giving him the best life.<br/><br/>Dante Loves<br/>- to sit near you or on your lap<br/>- to fall asleep near you<br/>- to chat with you about his day<br/>- to play fetch or ribbon wand<br/>- to be told how wild and fantastic he is during his bi-weekly zoomies<br/>- to interact and bond with gentle kiddos<br/>- to be social and a real part of the family (he's the perfect example of a "puppy kitty")<br/><br/>Dante isn't sure about:<br/>- very loud or crazy homes<br/>- other cats (he plays rough and gets jealous. He's not dangerous, but would prefer to be your one and only)<br/>- being left alone more often than not. He understands and is fine with work schedules and the occasional night away, but would prefer a BFF who likes to hang with him at home as much as possible and doesn't go on a gazillion trips.<br/><br/>Dante needs:<br/>- patience as he settles into a new place. He will most likely be a 3/3/3 cat (3 days of hiding, starting to warm up after 3 weeks, getting comfortable and relaxed after 3 months)<br/>- to be fed on a schedule or have free feeding available (he was left without food for days by his abuser 😪)<br/>- a home that loves and understands cats just as they are. He may nip if overstimulated with play (never breaks the skin!), he likes to explore all parts of his home (even counter tops and tables), and he loves to sleep and be near his humans. He can be gently redirected if absolutely necessary, but must never be yelled at, never have a spray bottle used on him, never have anything thrown at him. He was severely abused every day for most of his life and is very traumatized/scared if he feels he's "in trouble".<br/><br/>Dante is about 4 years old, healthy (no issues, negative for FIV/FeLV, fixed, vaxxed), happy, neat with his food and litter, and truly just a delight.
