Dale's Story

Just a few weeks ago, Dale's future was quite bleak.
He faced a life out on the streets as he was about to be thrown out of his home, at no fault of his own.
When a new baby arrived, his uncaring owner decided Dale had to go. His plan was to dump him somewhere on his way to work.

Word of his plans got out to one of our rescuers, and after pleading with the man, he relinquished Dale to her! Now he's safe and loved in a foster home, waiting for a forever home where someone will actually love him!

Dale is a 3 year old silver jewel of a cat!
At 14 pounds, this handsome tabby is just a big cuddly ball of fur, who loves to be held and carried around like a baby!
Dale's beautiful gold eyes hold a quiet thoughtfulness. He has a very gentle spirit in his foster home, and he gets along fine with other cats and even the resident dog!

Dale has been neutered now and is up to date on all his vaccines.
At some point, his previous owner let him outside where he was contracted the FIV virus. But don't let that scare you! Dale is very healthy! FIV is not contagious to humans, and other cats do not get infected by sharing food and water bowls, or by licking each other. FIV is usually transmitted by a deep bite wound when 2 cats are fighting. Fortunately, Dale is a lover, not a fighter! He lives quietly and companionably with other cats.

Dale is waiting for you!
