Dahlia's Story

The photo pretty much says it all, doesn't it? I'm a four-year-old female Snowshoe Siamese, and I'm looking for a special someone to join me on my very important weight-loss journey. I arrived at Rocket weighing a whopping 17 pounds after my previous owner decided I needed to see a veterinarian... although see a veterinarian apparently meant something much different than "let's make her better." Luckily, a kind woman in the waiting room stepped in and asked if she could help me find my next chapter. And here I am! My goal weight is 11 pounds, and I'm already down to 14! I'm on a special diet, and my food will come with me (and I won't need it forever). Best of all, I can groom myself again and my back is finally mat-free. Now I just need a little more room to roam, someone who will encourage me to get moving, and maybe a few fun toys to help me burn those calories. I'm ready to become the sleek, fabulous lady I know I am underneath all this hair. As for other cats? Absolutely not. I'm a queen, thank you very much, and I prefer my kingdom to myself. If you're looking for a beautiful, opinionated, work-in-progress Snowshoe with plenty of personality, I'm your girl!

Please apply here: https://www.rocketrescue.org/forms/form?formid=5196
