Cyrus came from the same feral colony as his brothers Monty, Archie, and Titus, and he wears that wild start a little more visibly — he's a tad shy, quick to startle and slower to fully relax around new people. But give this boy a reason to forget his worries, and he will. That reason is almost always play.<br/><br/>If Cyrus had a mission statement, it would be one word: PLAY. He goes about it in two modes — full-on spastic chaos or weirdly calculated precision — and you genuinely never know which one you're going to get. Pull out his favorite fishing rod toy (lure included, even though he demolished it ages ago and refuses to let that stop him) and his shyness evaporates on the spot. He's also delightfully greedy about his toys — snatch one up, growl a warning at his brothers, and bolt off with his prize like it's the heist of the century. He doesn't need an audience for any of this, either; Cyrus is perfectly happy entertaining himself.<br/><br/>Petting Cyrus takes a little patience at first — he might flinch when a hand comes toward him — but he catches on fast that it feels good, and before long he's flopped on his side, eyes closed, completely given over to it. He's especially a sucker for neck scritches, helped along by the fact that the fur there is almost unfairly soft. His purr is enormous for how small his snuggle-readiness currently is; he's slowly warming up to being a lap cat, but he'll happily curl up nearby when he needs a break from all that playing.<br/><br/>Add in a talent for stalking his siblings and an obsession with play tents and tunnels, and you've got a cat who's still figuring out people but has zero doubts about having fun. Cyrus needs someone patient enough to let trust build at his pace — and playful enough to keep up with him once it does.<br/><br/>Adoption fee is $150.
